n n nn Job Description – Director, Finance – Commercial Development Group (R114471) nn nn Job Description nn nn Director, Finance – Commercial Development Group ( n Job Number: n R114471 ) nn nn Description nn nn Thisposition is responsible for commercial support and business partnership to theCorporate Commercial Development Group (CDG) regarding all financial matters ofthe businesses. CDG is comprised of Schein’s private label products, practiceservices businesses and key One Schein initiatives, including U.S. strategicaccount management.Manages financialmatters for direct businesses including directing, and coordinating activitiesrelating to accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, riskmanagement, compliance, budgeting, forecasting, KPI management & analysis,and mergers and acquisition related finance and integration activities. Managesfinancial and management analysis to support decision-making on all thebusinesses. Interfaces with various finance, functional and businessdepartments within the group to ensure all public company requirements are metin a timely, analytical and accurate manner. nn nn KEYRESPONSIBILITIES: nn Develop, track and manage KPIs and associated forecasts as well as tactical plans to achieve KPIs for all key pillars of the Commercial Development Group (CDG) Establish and run process to track and quantify benefit of One Schein initiatives, ensuring that we are focusing on initiatives that will add material value for the company as a whole and are holding teams accountable to establishing – and executing on – success criteria Partner with the business team to evaluate, manage process and ultimately integrate business development opportunities Partner with business unit finance teams to assess financial performance of those business units with shared commercial responsibility nn Partnerclosely with other areas of the business to define, size and prioritize by mostattractive segments the Practices Services market nn nn Plans, directs, and manages the CommercialDevelopment Group finance function in order to ensure the identification,development, and implementation of cost-effective systems and efficientfinancial operations. nn nn Oversees the budgeting and forecast preparationand drives for continuous improvement through coordination with departmentmanagers on financial issues impacting their budgets. Reviews and reportsprojections of sales and profit against actual figures, budgeted expensesagainst final totals and suggests methods of improving the financialperformance of the business and help to implement changes. nn nn Provides timely and accurate analyses ofbudgets, financial reports, and trends in order to assist the President,Commercial Development Group – Dental in decision-making.  nn nn Develops strong financial forecastingstrategies and analyses and works with the management teams to help address anyforecast shortfalls. nn nn Serves as an effective business partner tothe President, Commercial Development Group – Dental and the senior managementteam. Is the “go-to” person on financial matters by all CDG’s leadershipteam nn nn Directs the preparation of all financialreports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to stakeholders,KPIs, Regional analyses and statistical reporting to drive appropriate businessdecisions. Ensures all financial reporting is consistent with properaccounting and regulatory requirements.  nn nn Provide oversight to financial modelling,due diligence and integration planning of business acquisitions. nn nn Qualifications nn nn PREFERREDEDUCATION: nn nn Typically a Bachelor’s Degree orglobal equivalent in related discipline. Master’s degree or global equivalentpreferred. May hold two or more industry certifications.
