Operates an electroencephalograph to measure impulse frequencies and differences in electrical potential between various areas of the brain to obtain data for use in diagnosis of brain disorders.
The EEG Technician studies wave characteristics during test to detect evidence of brain disorders and may mark graph accordingly for study by a physician or neurologist.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS Minimum Education High School Graduate/Specialized Training Experience 1 year of experience in the healthcare or medical field of completion of EEG program Training Must enroll in EEG program within 3 months of employment if not completed prior to hire.
License/Certification BLS Certification Keywords: Neurodiagnostic monitoring program,respiratory therapy, EEG, or Polysomnography #CB
