An opening currently exists for the above position at the Corporate Office in Bossier City, Louisiana.
This is an exempt-level position providing support to Director of Engineeringin the Weather tightness Warranty Department and in the development of new products and maintaining current products.
The position reports to the Director of Engineering.The main responsibilities of this position are:* Review architectural and shop drawings for compliance with the warranty department requirements.* Communicate with other departments, Architects and customers with regards to these requirements.* Provide job site inspections on roofs to insure that all installation requirements have been met.Other responsibilities include: Design and build product mockups for research and development of current and future products.
Design and build test frames and specimens for testing to ASTM and other industry standards and unusual applications.
Design and develop product prototypes.
Provide classroom style and hands on teaching to on the installation of metal roof and wall products.
Coordinate with Marketing in keeping up technical literature and installation manuals.
