Business Development Legal Capture Manager

Your New Company:

Hernandez Consulting & Construction is a project management firm and general contractor specializing in Design, Design-Build, Construction, Development & Sustainability.

Your New Role:

We are looking for a creative, innovative, capture management professional to directly support our growth in the Federal and Private commercial construction market. Reporting to the VP of Business Development, this highly visible position will work with the most senior managers across our company to create winning strategies and differentiated solutions nationwide from our New Orleans, LA location. We will train the right candidate who wants to still use their legal skills in a fast pace teamed business environment, but not practice as an attorney.

What You’ll need to Succeed:

  • Law degree (required)
  • Attention to detail
  • Highly organized
  • Excellent mastery of Microsoft tools like Word, Excel, PPT
  • Graphic experience with photoshop, publisher, or adobe writer

What you’ll be doing in your new role:

  • Leading the development of winning strategies, and determination of solutions.
  • Building departmental understanding and knowledge; leading collaboration with team members on potential solutions.
  • CPARS administration.
  • Bid Folder Creation.
  • Calendar Invites.
  • Daily beta.SAM solicitations and amendments.
  • Manage the Vendor Portal solicitations, amendments and work with the Proposal Writer for amendments.
  • Run the Pipeline meetings.
  • Perform weekly project searches.
  • Creating innovative, compelling, and differentiated technical, management, and business solutions in line with needs and budget.
  • Developing Winning Themes/Discriminators in collaboration with operations, and business development.
  • Establishing and leading capture team activities from qualification through post submittal.
  • Determining priorities of capture team.
  • Assessing competitive marketplace, conducting competitive analyses, and leading reviews.
  • Managing client relationships.
  • Preparing for and leading the lifecycle reviews from preliminary bid decision through submit bid decision.
