This is a Full-time position in Bogalusa, LA posted February 3, 2021.

The Manager Quality is responsible for the implementation and management of the performance improvement program for the organization and medical staff. Serves as a resource to hospital staff, senior leadership and physicians regarding functions requiring assigned departments or peer review, process improvement, accontability metrix, measurement and data analysis. Ensures compliance with state, federal, and JCAHO standards related to Improving Organization Performance of departments.
Description Minimum Required  

Experience

3 years experience in hospital operations.Prior experience leading quality and performance improvement initiatives or in project management Proven track record in leading system change

 

Education

Bachelor’s Degree from Accredited University

Job Duties Strategic Leadership and Operations

  1. Responsible for the leading the patient safety work group and the patient safety and quality transformation pillar team. Serves on other administrative committees and attends meetings to provide consultation and recommendations regarding the division’s area of expertise.
  2. Develops the annual capital equipment, personnel and operating budget for the department. Conducts periodic reviews of assigned departmental performance, analyzes budget variances and implements action.
  3. Maintain that departments are operating within budget and staffing according to patient work load. Monitoring OT for budget requirement.

  Quality and Performance Improvement

  1. Responsible for maintaining survey readiness related to state and federal regulations and Medical Staff and Performance Improvement TJC standards.
  2. Recommends policies and procedures that are consistent with the mission and the operating goals and objectives of the hospital. Assists senior management in the development and implementation of programs, policies and procedures to enhance the performance improvement and medical staff strategic directives. Recommends updates to medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations, and core privileges when appropriate.
  3. Identifies performance improvement and patient outcome indicators. Researches literature for clinical practice guidelines and national and regional benchmarking for comparisons.
  4. Promotes and encourages the growth and development of staff members by encouraging their participation in continuing education activities such as professional conferences, seminars, and workshops.
  5. Strives to promote the quality and efficiency of his/her own performance by remaining current with the latest trends in field of expertise through participation in the job-relevant seminars and workshops, attendance at professional conferences, and affiliations with national and state professional organizations.

  Collaboration and Partnership

  1. Provides staff support for the organization’s performance improvement plan (PILC) and operations support for the organization’s approach to performance excellence, including the Baldridge journey.
  2. Develops positive relationships between the hospital, community, physicians and professional affiliations by acting as the hospital representative. Promotes and maintains relationships and communications within the division and other areas.
