This is a Full-time position in Shreveport, LA posted February 1, 2021.

The above position is open in the Credit Department at the Corporate Office in Bossier City, Louisiana.

This exempt-level position plans, manages, and coordinates commercial and retail credit activities.

This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.Some of the responsibilities of this position include the following: Develops and implements Company’s credit policies and procedures.

Assigns personnel to investigate and verify financial status and reputation of prospective customers applying for credit.

Assigns responsibility for collecting delinquent accounts and non-sufficient funds checks.

Reviews reports to verify aging and status of accounts receivable, effectiveness of current policies and procedures that support cash flow.

Visits customer base to establish rapport and resolve credit problems that may arise.

Keeps Company management informed on all credit matters that may affect or have impact on company policies or operations.

Reviews and evaluates large job requests for credit worthiness.

Reviews accounts receivable on a timely basis to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding, and to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures.

Performs functions in accordance with Team Synergy.

Develops and ensures standard operating procedures are current for the specific area of responsibility.

Provide timely and accurate information for year end audit and bank exam.

Participation in National Association of Credit Management meetings and activities as required.Some of the requirements of this position are: Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent.

Advanced training in credit risk analysis and collection practices.

Working knowledge of collection law.

3+years of supervisory experience.

5+years of commercial/industry credit experience JD Edwards experience preferred.

Strong Excel skills, proficient in Word.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
