n n JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS n n Shift Time: 9 :00am to 9:00pm; subject to change based on overall needs n n Summary of the Job: n The RN Supervisor for New Family Center (NFC) and 3 South assumes 12-hour responsibility for planning, coordinating, supervising and evaluating clinical performance of the Women Services area.
This includes responsibility for managing the day to day operations of NFC and 3 South.
Responsible for assuring quality standards according to evidence based practice and professional guidelines (e.g.
TJC, AWHONN,AAP, ANA).
Serves as a role model in providing leadership and direction using a multidisciplinary team approach to ensure productivity, efficiency, and coordination while enforcing the NFC/3 South and Department of Nursing Standards.
n n Minimum Qualifications: Registered RN in Louisiana; minimum of 3 years clinical experience in Maternal Child; BLS through the American Heart Association.
n n Preferred Qualifications: Maternal Child supervisory experience; ACLS and NRP preferred; AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring Class.
n n Physical Demands: n nMust possess good physical health.
Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time.
Lifting at least 50 pounds is required.
Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
n nPhysical Effort required: Constant (67%-100%)
– reaching, handling/feeling, talking, hearing, seeing n nFrequently (34%-66%)
– lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, stooping, crouching n nOccasionally (1%-33%)
