Senior Systems Administrator

TC Industries Of Canada Company

This is a Full-time position in Baton Rouge, LA posted May 9, 2021.

The Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for systems architecture, design, administration, documentation, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization, outside customers and vendors, including tolerance for schedule interruptions.

Researching, resolving and documenting complex technology and networking problems.

Independently produce and maintain technical documentation related to complex tasks and projects.

Maintaining an inventory of installed software, managing software licenses and creating policies and procedures for upgrades.

Working with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensuring that new equipment is installed and set up on schedule.

Administer and provide technical expertise for Azure AD and Office 365 applications including Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Office Web Apps, Power Apps, MS Forms, Project.

Analyzing and identifying trends in issue reporting and devising preventative solutions.

Mentoring junior technology professionals on hardware and software problem analysis and resolution.

Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving system hardware, software, and networking issues.

Microsoft server installation, build, rebuild, repair, recovery, and troubleshooting.

Installing operating system software, patches, and upgrades as well as configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning, and monitoring operating system software and servers.

Performing system backups and recovery.

All aspects of security, including intrusion detection, firewall administration and security scans.

Install, configure, administer, repair and diagnose various types of networking equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls, access points, and WIFI technology.

Fill-in for both junior level team members as the need arises.

Education and/or Experience Associate degree in computer science or related field.

Two (2) additional years of similar and relevant experience may be substituted for this requirement

Minimum six years of relevant experience in the field

Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general healthcare regulations.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Reasoning Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills Experience in the installation, administration and troubleshooting of various OS, including Windows 10, Windows server 2012 or 2016, Linux, VMware, MS Hyper-V.

User support skills: on-site and remote, usage of service desk systems.

Hardware skills: Servers, LAN, Desktops, Printers, Networks switches, IP phones.

Networks skills: switches, routers, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewalls, connectivity, performance, troubleshooting, monitoring tools, including clouds, virtual and software defined networks.Systems and Applications: AD, user, and access management, e-mail systems (MS Exchange 2010
– 2016), SharePoint, Skype for business; MS teams, Office 365, file servers, various office applications and utilities.
