The New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Pelicans currently have an opportunity to join our Human Resources team as our Talent Acquisition and Retention Specialist.The Talent Acquisition & Retention Specialist acts as an ambassador to employees and prospective employees, providing information and support services at all stages of the employee life cycle: recruitment, onboarding, orientation, career planning, career development, and transition.

The Employee Recruitment & Retention Specialist works with management in developing strategies to recruit and retain a strong, diverse work force, and promotes the organization as an employer of choice in the community.Responsibilities: Work with the Vice President of Human Resources and management to define and implement recruiting and staffing strategy.

Research and develop opportunities to recruit, retain, and promote a culturally diverse workforce.

Review, update, classify and reclassify job descriptions for existing and new positions.

Maintain the Dayforce applicant tracking and recruiting system.

Train and provide assistance to managers to support recruiting activities and retention goals.

Assist in the construction and execution of employment agreements and process all related forms and notices related to same.

Provide oversight and guidance to the search and selection process for all vacancies.

Advertise and promote employment opportunities to the internal and external community and coordinate recruiting and hiring functions across the organization via the organizations’ website and online job boards.

Conduct onboarding interviews of new and transfer employees, process all related forms and notices related to same.

Assist managers in the orientation of new or transfer employees.

Develop checklists, tools and other resources to facilitate such orientation.

Work with management to assess and plan developmental opportunities for employees.

Assist interested employees with career pathing.

Assist management with developing, conducting, tracking, and/or evaluating training or professional development opportunities as requested.

Coordinate the preparation and processing of employee performance reviews and evaluations Conduct an annual employee satisfaction survey with the goal of strengthening employee retention strategies.

Conduct offboarding interviews with resigning or retiring employees, tracking reasons for voluntary terminations to inform future HR recruitment strategies.

Process all related forms and notices related to same, and facilitate the collection of keys, ID cards, parking passes, computer system access, and other items as required.

Track and report statistics and other employment-related data on applicants, prospects, and employees to management and outside agencies as directed.

Maintain employee personnel records in accordance with department protocols.

Insure personal and professional growth by keeping current on all legislation regarding EEO/AA and other related human resources guidelines thru active membership in the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and/or other appropriate organizations.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge: Bachelors degree in Business or HR field Minimum 2 years experience and responsibility for recruiting, retention, and employee development required HRIS experience with recruiting/applicant tracking.

Possession of excellent written communication skills and experience writing job descriptions Time management, good organizational, follow-through, attention to detail, and administrative skills are essential.

Ability to coach and counsel employees as needed.

Knowledge of employment interview techniques and HR law Knowledge of MS Office Suite Working Conditions: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and work on computer.

Must be able to lift 20 pounds and carry at least 5 feet.
