Job Description:

The Marketing Manager reports to the Associate Director of Marketing of LSU Online.

This position plays a critical role in managing and executing the marketing activities for LSU Online & Continuing Education (LSU Online), with responsibilities to ensure strong, quality lead generation and lead nurturing to lead to enrollment and retention goals for LSU Online within annual budget guidelines.

This position will require high collaboration with the Program Development and Recruitment & Retention teams to contribute to recruiting and retaining quality students and graduates for LSU Online.

 The position will also need to collaborate with internal constituents, such as program directors/managers, Strategic Communications, and other campus communicators.

 Cross-functional collaboration is required.

A main responsibility of this position is to be a brand steward for LSU overall, each college/department, and for LSU Online and the family of institutions represented.

 They will also contribute to the branding work that will occur with program launches working closely with the web development and internal Salesforce teams.

Job Responsibilities:

Management and execution of marketing campaign and plan, including development of marketing assets. 35%

Create, execute & monitor performance for marketing automation for lead nurturing and database marketing initiatives to drive recruitment and retention results, including e-mail segmentation and messaging, texting outreach, creation/execution of webinars, etc.

Analyze trends and adjust based on performance results.

 Report results internally and with program teams on a bi-monthly basis for basic data, and each term for a more strategic update. 20%

Ensure brand alignment and develop branding / persona marketing for new and existing offerings.

10%

Research trends on performance metrics, competition, higher education space.

 Make recommendations for new tests / initiatives to preserve competitive advantage. 10%

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of marketing experience.

Specific Experience
– Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.

3-5 years of marketing experience, including digital marketing knowledge.

Strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, English/writing, or business with 3-5 years of experience.

Specific Experience
– Preference to candidates with higher education experience.

 This position demands an individual who will thrive under pressure and who is comfortable with consistently changing and demanding priorities.

 Experience with a CMS system, Pardot, Salesforce, texting platforms, Excel, project management software, Google Analytics is a plus.

Special or Physical Qualifications:

Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Willingness to drive to Shreveport, LA for work assignments as needed, approximately 30-35%.

Due to the nature of this position and/or position responsibilities this position shall be subject to drug/alcohol testing in accordance with University Policy Statement 67.
